Ngl, when you think about it, it is actually kind of weird that rappers expect people to call them by their stage name in public. It's not the same thing as Cassius Clay to Muhammad Ali where there is a proclamation that everyone refers to them by their chosen name. Trevor is still his name, and there are people who call him Trevor. It's not a rule that we're supposed to call rappers by their stage names.
