Most kids don't appreciate vacations. They want to play, if the vacation is not about playing, they are not going to enjoy it. Leave them with the grandparent for fancy expensive vacations.

Kids don’t have the capacity to understand that they’re in a cool or interesting place. They’re not going to appreciate it because to them, you’ve just taken them to some weird place that doesn’t have any of the things they’re used to and they’re being forced to do things they don’t care about

I took my boys to Phuket , full day they were feeding elephants , monkey etc .. went rafting , ATV in the woods , we basically spend 9 hours from 10-6 doing activities ,. At the end of the day my younger said it was boring 🙂

Never understood kids like this, my brother and I grew up loving these kinds of vacations 😂 tbf my parents made sure we had opportunities to play like at beaches or doing kids activities so when it was time for a more “adult” activity like a nice dinner we didn’t complain because it was “their turn”

Took my kids to Hawaii. MY first time EVER leaving the state(besides Vegas) . They complained the whole time. We won’t be traveling until they’re older.

bc the parents don't get it, that kids are overstimulated and overwhelmed and exhausted all the time. the allowed to go to bed late and do to much stuff. they can't processed it. grown-ups nether often

As someone who has gone on alot of family trips with younger siblings or younger cousins, most children Aren't designed to be dragged around all day or just "relax", if you give them a game or an activity they enjoy it's pretty easy to get rid of the complaints, when you book a holiday make sure it's appropriate for the kids age! Of course a 10 or 7 year old isn't gonna enjoy just sitting down and "relaxing", or getting dragged around a random place when they'd much rather do something else.
