@arthur_on_food: 🤮 ZERO FOOD HYGIENE NO11 🤮 This Chinese supermarket in Cardiff has a zero food hygiene rating, but the food is outrageously good value! You’ll find Eat and Sip Market in Cathay, a very studenty part of town. That probably explains why the place was so quiet. For less than £15, I ordered more food than I could eat. Kelp Salad £4.50 - the unusual, earthy flavour of the kelp took a bit of getting used to, but it matched the chilli oil and well - spring onions brought a nice bit of sweetness too alongside a raw garlic burn. Homemade chive egg and sweet potato noodles pancake - £6 - I think I have found the Chinese equivalent of a Wigan Kebab: noodles and wrapped in dough - it was carbalicious. Not one for me. Homemade beef and pork bao buns - £5 for two - great value and very respectable bao. On the hygiene front, my only complaint was being given a wet bowl to eat out of.
