@just_mary_being_mary: I thought early retirement would mean finally having permission to do whatever I wanted. I didn't realise I'd have to learn that doing nothing was allowed. After decades of measuring my days by how productive I'd been, that has taken some unlearning. Early retirement gives you freedom from work. Learning what to do with that freedom is a completely different thing!
