the reason for the low cost: all stores are company-owned -- no franchises. No franchisees, mean no franchise fees. Franchise fees can add 25% to the prices on the menu.

Issue is, once a “restaurant” chain goes on the stock market to make a quick buck they no longer are pricing based on their costs. They’re pricing based on the profits their owners (shareholders) expect. That’s why shit holes like McDonald’s charge more just serve up slop, to please the shareholders.

No it’s just fine. Being from California will blind you to aesthetic’s. It’s what burgers should be but isn’t a gold standard burger. It’s just cheap and it delivers. It’s like the first transformers movie
