Had a pt who lost IV access at 7, was a tough stick and we didn’t get access again until 10, so he got dilaudid at 10pm and said “so I’m getting it again in an hour right? Bc I was supposed to get it at 7pm too and I never did, and yelled at me when I explained how PRNs work.
