Growing up here I've never understood why people cliff jump here. There are so many better safer places to do stuff like this. Lynn canyon is freezing cold, rocks everywhere including in the water that you can't always see, these pool aren't very big so landing can be narrow, and there are so many deaths and injuries here every year, all preventable mind you. Literally the worst spot you could choose to cliff jump

Even when I was a kid in the 80's, when safety standards didn't exist, we were warned that the cliffs at Lynn Canyon were abnormally dangerous.

We have a bunch of young guys that jump from the rocks & bridges at our lake. It makes me sick to my stomach watching them, one wrong move and game over all for a thrill. The worst are the kids obviously scared but being pressured by their friends 🥴

I grew up jumping there but there are so many other spots to cliff jump that are so much safer. It is so narrow and sketchy there.

We live off Lynn Valley Road by the park…. In the summer the sirens are numerous times a day. Always accidents. 😏
