My person came and cleaned my entire house while I rocked my baby the entire time. Not once did she ask to hold him but just girl talk the entire time. After she asked if I had anything else, I said I needed to clean out my closet and without hesitation she we through my clothes one by one. I will never forget her.

I was that friend for my friend with PPD way back when I was just 20 years old. She called me crying while I was at work and I sent my other new mom friend to her door until I could get there myself. I slept on her couch for a week getting up with the baby so she could sleep. All I knew was that she was struggling and friends show up when needed and I’ll always be proud of young me for doing that even tho I had no idea what I was doing.

Fyi! There is an app for postpartum moms that’s like 24/7 and connects moms with someone/other moms to talk to if they need support or someone to talk to etc even if they are across the world I think it’s called Beacon
