@pharmunique_: Read the bag before you buy the soil! A bag labeled “garden soil” doesn’t necessarily mean it works for every type of garden. Garden soil is typically formulated to be mixed with your existing in-ground soil, and many bags will tell you that directly on the label. If you’re gardening in a container or grow bag, look for a potting mix. If you’re filling a raised bed, look for a mix specifically formulated for raised beds. Don’t just look at the name on the front of the bag. Flip it over and read: • What the soil is intended for • Where it should be used • What’s actually in the mix • Whether fertilizer has already been added Choosing the right soil from the beginning can make a big difference in how well your plants grow. #GardeningTips #BeginnerGardening #VegetableGardening #creatorsearchinsights #greenscreen

When I started with my containers I had no clue. I saw Lowe’s had a 5 for 10 sale and I was like … oh snap I hit a lick lol but nope. The soil was for in ground lol and I didn’t find out until I had already prepared the containers 🤦🏾♀️honestly I left them as is…I suppose that’s why my tomatoes didn’t do great and everything else took forever to harvest but now I know. lol
