@karenscatcommunity: Jimmy went to his new home today. He was the first little kitten we brought in from our local feral colony, and watching him go from a frightened feral kitten to a friendly little boy who loves a kiss and cuddle has been so special. I’m really going to miss him. He’d only just started getting used to Tammy, and Tammy getting used to him, but we couldn’t hold Jimmy back when the right home came along. So now we’ll be focusing on Tammy, and she won’t be on her own for long. And then came the biggest surprise. Jimmy has gone to live with his old buddies, Sora and Riku, who were adopted by Kat just a couple of weeks ago. They’re still decompressing, but when Kat opened the door and Jimmy was settled in his crate, they came flying through to investigate. They were understandably shocked to see us, but quickly ran to Kat. It was lovely seeing how much they’ve already settled and how much they clearly know that this is their home. And Sora was the first to go over and nuzzle Jimmy. I really hope they remembered each other. What a lovely ending to Jimmy’s rescue journey. On the way to Jimmy’s new home, we saw more smoke from the wildfires that have started again across Mid Wales. It’s devastating to think about the wildlife and homes being affected.
