I’ve seen polar opposite twins and leech twins in my classes at preschool. Each pair is different, some benefit from being apart and some don’t! You know your kids best & do what you think best benefits them!

As a teacher keep them together!! I’ve had triplets in classes and they all did their own thing- but always had a buddy when needed!

ofc do what is best for your kids!!!!!!! my twin sister and i had the same friend group and i wish we were separated soo bad. it’s hard to understand from an outside perspective but you lose yourself when you are seen “as one”. not that you asked for feedback

@abaybay1220: I would definitely keep the girls together for preschool! When I taught 4th grade I had one twin and her sister was in another class and the parents made that choice because they hated each other haha. I don’t think that will be the case for your girls when they’re older, but maybe when they get to an age where they can make that decision for themselves whether they want to be all together or in separate classes, then you can revisit separating them later on? I just know whatever decisions you make for your kids you will always be mindful of their feelings and make decisions together!

I have b/g twins and absolutely would never separate them. I agree with everything you said! I also think it depends on your child’s personality of course! My twins thrive together, but being different genders naturally they’ll do different things!

I have twins and I’m thinking the same thing!! Even though literally everyone says to separate them 😂 but it makes me SO sad to even think about them being in different classes!!

Triplet here! 🥰 We were always in the same class growing up and it was amazing! We cried in 5th grade when my mom was going to split us up so she didn’t!

Most twins in my school are together in Kinder and that gives parents and teachers a good idea of learning and independence. Some are better separated after kinder and some aren’t. All educational decisions like that should be individualized. All multiples are different!! ♥️

I kept my b/g twins together until 1st grade. Their kindergarten teacher told me that they needed to be separated for 1st grade. My daughter depended on her brother and he liked taking care of her. I know it’s different b/c I didn’t have same sex multiples

I’m a twin and my mom separated us in school and I’m so happy she did. I feel like my own person with my own friends, my own personality and not just an extension of my twin! We are still very close today ☺️

I’m a triplet and my mom separated us until middle school. We were still as close as ever and are best friends today!! It did allow us to make different friends and kind of learn how to interact with other kids while knowing our sibling weren’t right there. I don’t think you can go wrong either way :) they are so lucky to have best friends for life!! It’s the best 🤍

You can always put them together for preschool and see how it goes! As a teacher, there is often one twin that does everything for the other so they never learn to be independent. But you know your kids best and if that will be an issue or not! Every kid and family is different!
