@omg.this.is.misty: Mango Photo Shoot — Day 7 🥭❤️‍🩹 A week ago today, at approximately 7pm, a person made the decision to try to take your life. He shot you in the head twice, left you lying in the road to die, and then somehow went on with his day. But Mango… you lived. For the last seven days, we have watched you fight. We have watched you get stronger. We have watched you take your first steps, eat, give kisses, wag your tail and slowly begin to understand that the hands touching you now are here to LOVE you…not hurt you. There is a part of me that wants to stay angry. I think anyone who looks at what was done to you feels that anger. But today I am praying something different. May the Lord remove the hate from our hearts so that all of that energy can be poured into the love you need to heal. We may never understand why someone chose cruelty that night, but we get to choose what happens next. And what happens next is LOVE. You are surrounded by it, Mango. Seven days ago someone left you to die. Today you are alive. You are healing. You are loved.
