Whoever misses One salah is Kafir Ishāq ibn Rāhawayh (رحمه الله): قد صح عن رسول الله صل الله عليه وسلم أن تارك الصلاة كافر، وكذلك كان رأى أهل العلم من لدن النبي إلى يومنا هذا : أن تارك الصلاة عمداً من غير عذر حتى يذهب وقتها كافر "It has been authenticity narrated from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) that the one who leaves Salāh is a Kafir And likewise was the opinion of the people of knowledge from the time of the Prophet (ﷺ) until today, that one who leaves Salāh on purpose without an excuse, until its time expires, is a Kafir.” Ta’dhīm Qadr as-Salāh (2/929)

Madhab Shafii says he is only faasiq a major sinner not a kaffir. If you leave salah due to sleep, or you in a coma, or even if you leave it knowingly, you must pray a qadha prayer/s to make up for the missing salah. Some say only sleep or other things can be qadha, not if you conciously not pray during its time window. Abu Hanifah is good person he is imam of the madhab and Salah al Fawzan praises him. Imam al-A'zam.

والذي يظهر من الأدلة : أنه لا يكفر إلا بترك الصلاة دائما ، بمعنى أنه وطن نفسه على ترك الصلاة ، فلا يصلي ظهرا ، ولا عصرا ، ولا مغربا ، ولا عشاء ، ولا فجرا ، فهذا هو الذي يكفر. فإن كان يصلي فرضا أو فرضين فإنه لا يكفر ؛ لأن هذا لا يصدق عليه أنه ترك الصلاة ؛ وقد قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : ( بين الرجل وبين الشرك والكفر ترك الصلاة ) ، ولم يقل : ( ترك صلاة )
