My mom had postpartum depression and that was one or the reasons she didn’t want to have another kid. Anyway, my dad was an actual dad, was there with her and took care of me. My grandfather took care of his baby and took my mom to receive psychiatric care. My mom had a supportive family, that’s what is supposed to happen y’all. My mom situation wasn’t as bad as others but thanks to people that love her and took care of her and me.

I can’t speak on PPP as a man but as a war vet PTSD doesn’t get half this grace or support…both are choices people make (go to the military and to have kids)

I truly don’t believe this is rare, I think moms are just terrified of speaking about their experience. There is a lot of guilt and shame around this.
