aquarium employe here use white vinegar and warm water. pee only causes infection and sand is the equivalent of rubbing dirt on a cut.

dont pee on jellyfish stings it causes the barbs from the tentacles to project more venom out and make it worse. Instead, put vinegar on it then rub it under hot water in the shower, I did it and that worked. Never pee on jellyfish stings please
