@skinandbodylab.ca: I’m not one for all the ridiculous rules around acne… “You can’t wash your face in the shower” or “You need a separate towel for everything” 🙄 But one rule of thumb I DO think is helpful, especially if you’re prone to body acne: wash your body LAST. If you never get body breakouts, you may be able to do your shower routine in whatever order you want and have zero issues.. But if you’re oily, acne-prone, or use a lot of hair products, the order of your shower routine is worth paying attention to! My preferred order 👇🏼 Shampoo + conditioner + all hair steps (thank you abbey yung) → Wash your face → Gentle all-over body cleanse → Second cleanse on acne-prone areas with an AHA, BHA, or benzoyl peroxide cleanser Basically, we double cleanse our face when there’s more to remove, so why not apply the same logic to acne-prone areas of the body? Especially when you’ve just had shampoo, conditioner, hair masks, oils, styling products, etc. rinsing down your back and chest! Not everyone needs to double cleanse their body, but if you’re constantly dealing with chest or back breakouts, this is one simple change worth trying🫧 Did you start getting body acne after starting the Abbey Yung Method like me ? 😅 #bodyacne #abbeyyungmethod #acneproneskin #rosevilleesthetician #bodywash

This is really good info! I struggle with some body acne on my back and it’s so frustrating! Also doing the abbey young method, so it all makes sense now. I will do the double cleanse as well now! Oh, I also like to put my hair up in a clip to get it off my back once I’m done with that step.
