@developingdfw: Prosper could be the next North Texas community facing a major decision over a data center. A project called Project Tomahawk is being proposed on roughly 39 acres near FM 1385 and Parvin Road. Plans call for a single data center building, along with landscaped buffers, preservation of mature trees, and a public 10-foot hike-and-bike trail. But the developer is also trying to address two of the biggest concerns surrounding data centers before the debate gets started. The proposal includes a closed-loop cooling system designed to minimize ongoing water use and a voluntary maximum noise level of 65 decibels at the property boundary. Project information also estimates more than 500 construction jobs at peak, approximately $69 million in construction wages, and developer-funded improvements to the nearby Brazos Electric substation. But this is far from a done deal. The proposal still has to work through Prosper’s development-review process, and data centers have quickly become one of the most controversial land-use issues in DFW. Residents across North Texas are asking tougher questions about electricity demand, water usage, noise, infrastructure, and how close these facilities should be allowed to neighborhoods. So here’s the question for Prosper residents: If the developer can control the noise and water usage, would you support a data center here, or is this simply the wrong location? #ProsperTX #DataCenters #CollinCounty #DFWGrowth #DevelopingDFW

We don’t have the energy infrastructure, we don’t wanna pay for it. 40 billion in debt and we have nothing to go nationally except rich defense contractors

they can retrofit those empty warehouses next to Portillos on 423 if a data center is needed in the area. Frisco has everything else, they can deal with that too.

Freddie America Electrical Contractor 214-537-5287, how many several proposals to the Governor about Water water desalination that would help with the water conservation and preservation. Data Center are usually soundproof on the inside. I worked on a few and they were bring up a good job at 80% or 60% of the word went to the local residence once it’s built, it would be good for the community.

Normalize data centers building solar power plants that provide 125% of their needs and paying all property taxes of everyone in the county they are in.
