It’s called Emotional Regulatjon. He doesn’t know how to. And yes, you’re right, how he treats you in those moments is who he is. Also, I had a man a long time ago tell me - pay attention to how he treats people who he deems lesser than him. - ie service people, gardeners etc. Is how he will treat you one day…to this day, that’s my litmus test.
