Should when you buy them before you separate them, wash them with some salt water and then cut the tops off

As soon as you bring them home, rinse them really well in cold water. It washes off the ripening gas that they are exposed to at the end shipping. This was advice given to me from a retired produce manager.

I've always found the opposite to be true. separating the. ripens them faster. If you seal the tops with plastic wrap they ripen slowly.

put them in the refrigerator when they are as ripe as you want them to be and they last so long. the peel may get brown but when you peel it the bananas are perfect

My bananas take like two weeks to ripen so I can use them for banana bread. It’s kind of frustrating. I wish they would turn faster.
