I’ve been saying this. Like it’s ok to have some fun songs that are silly and it’s ok to have some deep meaningful songs. People who make fun of the fact she wrote “wood” and also wrote “the lakes” is exactly what she’s talking about, she can write both. Music is what the artist wants it to be

Is TLOAS one of my favorites of hers?.. no, did I understand what she was trying to do with it, and have it be a very fun, tongue in cheek album with some good “typical” songs?.. absolutely! She’s allowed to change.. same stuff might get boring for her after 20 years, and I love it all!
