No not necessary hun , you mite be grinding or clenching your teeth at night and that causes lock jaw , they call it something like bruxism , I would make Denist appointment for advice hun xx

I also have locked jaw i wake up with a locked jaw its painful. and then when I eat I fell my jaw locking multiple times and then when I go to sleep my jaw locks alot. I dont know what this is

You definitely have TMJ. I also had this issue, it’s extremely painful. First thing I was told by the dental hospital is to stop clicking / cracking your jaw. You might need to get a night time retainer / guard made for your teeth, I got one made and the difference is crazy

Having similar problems. Was told TMJ and grinding my teeth. My dentist fitted me with a night guard, lots of relief but I’m gonna go to a TMJ specialist soon too.

go to the dentist and ask for a mouth guard my jaw clicks and used to come out of place till I was told wearing a mouth guard would help it does help because it dosent out of place no more just clicks like urs

Sounds like TMJ, my jaw clicks all the time but never experienced Locked jaw :(
