Metagross voice recognition🔥 After making the visual pipeline work, my next goal was voice recognition. This is probably the most important feature for the robot because it’s the main user interface for an user, you see in the show how trainers can just talk to the Pokemon for it to do stuff, no buttons, no visuals, only voice🎤 For this version, Metagross doesn’t need to have GPT level of understanding, the goal is to receive specific commands and execute routines, so im using the model called Vosk, which is an offline speech recognition model that fulfills all my needs. I theory I could use a more advanced model on the Jetson Nano but right now it’s not necessary✅ Now, my goal was for the robot to sit and give the “paw”, but the sitting routine is quite complicated once you add the non slip pads. Metagross has only 2 degrees of freedom on the vertical side, so any sort of sitting motion requires the legs to be dragged a little bit, so the plastic brackets were not enough for that tension… I guess that’s why Metagross levitates🛸 Once I add the metal brackets, I’ll start the walking motion and training. First it will be remote controlled, then autonomous.
