That's horrible. I have a story as well, imagine having a certain last name that many other Black people have, and being a white, blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl in a Detroit public school. Imagine the rage that the Black female teachers had for me. And imagine them in elementary school telling all the other students that my ancestors we're evil and owned slaves. I had no clue what she was talking about. I was just a poor little white girl, the minority in my school, being told this. By the way, there is no history in my family that I know of where they owned slaves. The last name came from my father's side, whom I barely knew anyway. I knew no one from his side of the family, and even if they did, I had nothing to do with any of that. But whatever, yeah, imagine that.

hey something similar happened to me my middle school teacher was trying to get some kid to apologize to me about what happened in 1932-1945 and I got in trouble because I said "he wasn't apart of that. He wasn't even born yet."
