Please let him rest. I wish I did the same earlier on as I went through the exact same scenario with a kitten, who as days went on presented with the exact same issues as yours. It's birth defects from abnormal kidney and liver that will show with an ultrasound aswell as neurological issues that can't be fixed. I didn't have the heart and fought untill their last breath and exhausted all my funds but nothing could be done and it would of been kinder to let them go peacefully in hindsight.
