@thedevinakaur: When we talk about the festivals of Montreal, We must also include the Sunday outdoor gathering with the Tam Tams! 😻 Les Tam-Tams is the name given to the outdoor drum circle which started in the 1960’s. During the warm months, every Sunday the drum circle starts at about 12 o’clock in the afternoon (perhaps as early as 10 am) near the George-Etienne Cartier statue at Mount Royal Park (cross street Mont Royal /Parc avenue) and the circle goes on till sunset and the musicians come and go. Yes if you’re a musician you can also join in! A side note - We walked along Mont Royal street (can you spot the Olympic Stadium in the background) which becomes a pedestrian only street during the summer months. We enjoyed the drum circle and live music and then we hiked up the stairs to the very popular look out point. The look out point from the top of the mountain gives magnificent views of Montreal city including the suburbs. Highly recommend a visit to the mountain on your next visit to Quebec, Canada.
