your instincts are correct I work as a mechanic and we get these Instructions all the time to patch it up to get it off of warrenty, it's pretty common practice.

1-800-333-4542 is the Kia number to start a lemon law case. Document all the times you've been in and it hasn't been fixed. My fiance just had to do this with his Chevy truck! Good luck! Don't give up!

Call like actual Kia… like the 1-800 number… the local Kia tried this with me and I called them and MAGICALLY my car worked after complaining to corporate - also see if they have any other dealer in the area that isn’t the one you’re going to can fix it - a local Toyota dealership does mine now instead of the Kia

Do you have a Kia forte? My sister had a 2019 Kia forte. Same thing, almost killed her 6 times. Heading down hills, car would stall launch her 20 feet then just die. Flat road same thing.

Omg this happens to my Kia all the time and they told me I didn’t a brand new engine !! I paid 7000 for a new engine and it’s still stalling randomly and won’t start for like ten minutes

Unfortunately almost all cars are made of plastic these days. If you want something that doesn’t depreciate, lasts, and is safe in accidents, get a Toyota. As long as you stay away from anything Nissan. I’ve seen some crazy accidents at work and Toyota’s and Honda’s have always been the safest that I’ve witnessed

That’s exactly what happened right before my engine blew in my Hyundai! It would just stop working. Then start again. It was under the 100k warranty though.
