If you’re not Black, don’t say the N-word. That’s it. That’s the post. 😭 Why are we still holding committee meetings about this? It’s not rocket science. You don’t need a 47-slide PowerPoint presentation, a documentary, or a DNA test. Just… don’t say it. And yes, I have mixed feelings about the word within the Black community. But if you’re not Black and you say it around me, I’m absolutely pressing you on it because outside of our community, that word comes with a racial history and undertone that you don’t get to just opt out of. Some of y’all want to be Black SO BAD until it’s time to experience the part that doesn’t come with the music, slang, food, fashion, and memes. 😭 You can’t cherry-pick the culture like a Spotify playlist. If you want the culture, understand the history too. And if you’re not Black, just leave that one word alone. It’s literally the easiest rule in the world.

This might be a controversial take but although you say we reclaimed the word back. I don't believe you can take back something that started during the slave trades. Personally I don't use the word at all but that's just me.

As a Hispanic I grew up in a trailer park with my black brothers down here in the south so I obviously grew into a southern accent w aave slang, which also resulted into me using the n word. My guys were fine w it and didn’t care but then I said it at a cookout around one of their families and his uncle corrected me and showed me the history thru pictures and story’s. So I stopped saying it, wasn’t hard at all
