This video is around **six years old** — but it has resurfaced and gone viral again, and I think the reason SEND parents are reacting so strongly is important. A father was reportedly worried about where his son was in school. The child wasn't in class. Yet in the footage, a member of staff complains about having to leave her *“comfy chair”* to find him and talks about having to appear sympathetic about why he couldn't enter the classroom. We don't know the child's full circumstances, and reports that the staff member later lost her job have **not been independently verified by me**. But the bigger question remains: When a child can't enter a classroom, hides away or becomes overwhelmed, do we see **bad behaviour** — or do we ask what that behaviour is communicating? Six years later, families are still relating to this. **Has enough really changed?** #SENDParents #SchoolAnxiety #SENDSupport #ChildMentalHealth #AskEllie
