@favouridiong2: Isaiah 43:18–19 is a powerful reminder that God is not limited by what He has done before. “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?” Isaiah 43:18–19 (KJV) What does it mean? 1. “Remember ye not the former things…” God is not telling you to erase your history or pretend your past never happened. He is telling you not to allow the past to become the limit of your expectation. Yesterday’s disappointment, failure, rejection, or even yesterday’s victory should not determine what you believe God can do next. 2. “Behold, I will do a new thing…” God is announcing a new season. Sometimes we keep looking for God to repeat an old miracle, when He is preparing to do something completely different. The new thing may not look like what you expected, but it can still be God. 3. “Now it shall spring forth…” Something may already be developing even though you cannot fully see it yet. Like a seed beneath the ground, God can begin a work in your life before there is visible evidence. Do not mistake silence for inactivity. 4. “I will even make a way in the wilderness…” A wilderness represents places where there seems to be no direction, no provision, and no possibility. Yet God says He can create a way where there was no way. 5. “And rivers in the desert…” God can bring refreshment, provision, restoration, and life into places that have become spiritually or emotionally dry. The message is simple: your past is not powerful enough to cancel your future. What God is about to do may require you to stop looking backward and start looking forward with faith. Short Prayer: Father, help me to release the limitations of my past and recognize the new thing You are doing in my life. Make a way where there seems to be no way, and bring rivers into every dry place. Give me the faith to recognize and embrace my new season.
