don't put it like that saying one or two days because do you know the whole Caribbean island stepped in for searching it doesn't matter which Caribbean island person is missing from they don't just search in Antigua water alone, and if we do things which is right by notifying the Coast guard whenever we're heading out the area that we're heading to or every hour check in on our radio so please don't put it like fisherman life doesn't matter because I fish and we don't do things the right way then we blame others for your wrong. please be safe out there do the right protocol

Having added or upgraded communication and safety equipment is a must yes. However, do people actually believe that every disappearing fisherman and vessel is due to a lack of proper protocols? Have some of you ever considered that if so many evil, illegal things happen on land day in, day out, that it's not happening in these waters? You think every drugs and guns circulating comes in barrel and boxes or planes? I am quite certain that alot of these men come across transactions that they were not supposed to see on the seas and they do not live to see anything else. I can't say it's a guarantee but maybe with them obtaining firearm licenses along with other necessary equipment, it just may increase their chances of seeing their family again.
