Hank was rich and should have been sending college checks for Buffy and child support for Dawn. It’s definitely a plot hole. Not to mention Buffy certainly should have had a monthly stipend for living expenses from the council.

I never understood why they didn’t use the Buffybot. Update her systems to understand a job. The Buffybot could’ve totally worked at the double meat palace? I’m sure a robot can flip burgers and scrape the grease off the friers and grills

GILES HAD MONEY!! How was he not even considering giving her money! They all eat her food and break her house all the time! Why did Tara and Willow not put up protections around the house with magic so no one who intends harm can enter! Slayers should be paid by the council!!

Very very few people I knew didn’t have a job during college. It’s outrageous that Willow and Tara didn’t chip in. Plus the counter is filled with fresh fruit which is so expensive!

One of my biggest concerns in the entire Buffy franchise is the watcher council. The watchers expect the slayer to be slaying, but don’t turn around and give any financial support. Anya makes a joke, early in season six, that Buffy should be charging for her duties as the chosen one. Buffy shouldn’t be charging, because the watcher council should be paying her a fortune for what she does. Everything bad in Buffy‘s life can be laid at the feet of the council.

The later seasons really make me not like Giles because what do you mean Buffy secured you a salary + backpay + you’re going to give her one payment then dip when she’s the one doing all the work???

100% Rewatching as an adult my feelings about willow have drastically changed in the later seasons. The fact that her or Tara couldn't at least get a part time job while going to class to help with the bills while Buffy was dead, or even after irritates me beyond reason. Then to bring her back and be like welcome back, here's the financial mess we've left you in hope you enjoyed your time in heaven
