I can answer that for you! When a person drowns, in water this temperature, it takes about 2 days for decomp to create enough gases for the body to becomes buoyant enough to surface again. Then it becomes subject to the currents, wind, tides, etc. again. That is why, there was “marine activity” and nobody saw him the next day!

Yes, something gotta give if his parents went to the island to find them and they didn’t find his body, but it was later discovered after the Navy Premier. Something is wrong was done at the dark will come to light.
