@abcnewslive: ABC News’ Steve Osunsami reports on the tense debate around Tuskegee University’s new dress code policy banning bonnets and durags in the classroom.
In the real world, you cannot wear your bonnet to work. You cannot wear pajamas to work. What’s the problem?

Restaurants, nightclubs, jobs, and other establishments have dress codes, so why can't a place of higher learning have one as well?

The playing field has never been even for blacks and whites…. Never. This is why black students always showed up appropriately dressed, just to be noticed, heard and seen. The silicone valley professionals, have already made it and have a path already paved for them, because they are white. Have we made strides yes, will we receive the same treatment as the frat boys at Penn State and silicone valley, no, so don’t make it harder for yourself, especially in this political environment where DEI is being targeted. Our ancestors showed up for the jobs they worked for and had far less. To think we are equal, we are not!!! I applaud and support a dress code. Our society as a whole has been on a slippery slope in many industries… period.
