Ask them about what you can eat during the quarantine and after. My dad had the same thing. We thought the two weeks before were it until we got there for his treatment and found out it was even after he took the radiation pill. In all, he had to be on the diet for right at a month.

When my dad was on a very restrictive diet during his cancer, I lamented with him about what he couldn’t eat, and he said, “I prefer to focus on what I CAN eat.” I think about that often.

The food restrictions are temporary until after your treatment. Bloodwork and ultrasounds will be in your future just as a precaution. I had thyroid cancer and had both sides removed. You got this.
