Yea the consumer wins but when the platform is the only one left standing then the issue of quality, safety and health will start creeping in. The consumer will then suffer as there are no other alternatives. We as a consumer need to be wise by choosing items not based on their price but on quality and is verified to be safe. If it is still cheap then it's an added bonus.

PinDuoDuo actually has been around for years. Only thing is last time it was mainly for inland purchase in China. TaoBao also originated like that. PinDuoDuo is based on a bulk order concept, that's why it can be cheaper.
