As a 45 yo old former sorority woman from an ACC school, I encourage you to go to the houses that invited you back. in there, look around at them. remember they go to the same school you do. they are quality women worthy of spending time with. they invited you back into their home for a reason. every single chapter is awesome.

My daughter just dropped out of UNC rush after sisterhood round. Didn’t feel a connection with the houses left. Don’t feel pressured either way you decide.

I hate to say it (it is coming from a girl mom who is now a junior in college) I feel like adjusting to college is hard enough I don't understand wanting to put yourself through emotional turmoil having to feel a connection or accepted into forced friendships of a sorority house... just my two cents. Don't let this crush you or your freshman experience... it's not worth it. You will organically find your people, you are so sweet!!!!!!

I rushed as a sophomore back in 2016 and i remember feeling the same way you’re describing. It was hard to be super excited about connections and conversations with girls in some houses just to be rejected by them. I ended up sticking it out for about a year and a half in the house I did get but at the end of the day it never stopped feeling forced to me. What didn’t feel forced though ended up being the friendships I made with other girls who rushed with me and dropped and other people I met organically. It’s truly your decision and you seem like someone who has a lot of discernment about what you want so just know that it’s ok to be unsure and it’ll definitely work out no matter what you decide!!

i rushed in 2015 at an SEC school (so it was intense af). i am a neutral social person but my social battery will run out without warning lol. i got dropped by my top house. i had a crash out and quit. when COB opened they immediately messaged me and said that there was an error in their rating system and it automatically dropped me. i obviously accepted. i eventually found out that greek like just wasn't for me, no shade to the system. just too much commitment to having to be social constantly lol

I’m a senior at UNC, and I was in this position my freshman year. It’s definitely such a HARD process and I felt the same way with getting dropped from more houses than I expected. Please don’t be hard on yourself and it all works out whether you accept a bid or drop :)

I went through UNC rush a million years ago and had a similar experience. I received a bid and went through with it and it honestly wasn’t a good time. My friends that weren’t in Greek life seemed to have much more authentic friendships and less stress and bullshit. If you drop, you’ll find your people! I’d trust your gut
