They don’t destroy entire ecosystems because they want more money, power, or status. Mother Nature has a balance that humans constantly interfere with. Animals don’t need corporations, governments, or social media to tell them how to live. They simply exist as what they are. A wolf is a wolf. An eagle is an eagle. The forest doesn’t pretend to be something it isn’t. There is a raw integrity in nature that humans seem to have forgotten. And yet humans call ourselves the “civilized” species while destroying habitats, polluting oceans, exploiting animals, and turning everything into a commodity. We built skyscrapers and technology, then somehow convinced ourselves that we’re above the very ecosystem keeping us alive. Maybe the uncomfortable truth is that the animals aren’t the ones who lost touch with nature. We are. The creatures we call “animals” may actually understand their place in the world better than we do. So maybe the real question isn’t whether animals are intelligent enough to be civilized.
