Lab-grown dairy is already in your grocery store — and none of these companies told you about it. Breyers launched a Lactose-Free Chocolate frozen dessert made with Perfect Day's precision-fermented whey protein — animal-free dairy grown from genetically modified fungi in bioreactors. It's on shelves at Walmart, Target, Kroger, and H-E-B right now. Nestlé used the same technology for its Cowabunga animal-free dairy beverages and its Orgain "Better Whey" protein powder. Starbucks partnered with Perfect Day to develop precision-fermented dairy for its creamers and beverages. Mars used it in CO2COA chocolate. General Mills used it in Bold Cultr cheese. Bel Group used it in Nurishh cream cheese. These are companies with combined revenues exceeding $115 billion per year — all quietly trialling lab-grown dairy proteins in consumer products. The protein is grown from microbes that have been genetically modified to produce whey when fermented in a tank. It's molecularly identical to cow's milk protein. No cow. No hormones. No antibiotics. No lactose. And no label telling you the dairy in your ice cream was grown in a lab instead of milked from an animal. It's already in your freezer. It's already in your coffee. You just don't know it yet. Scanned on the Exposr app
