If you only look closely, you can understand why he became so distant and cold along the way. Imagine all the things he goes through to protect his people. He lost one of his dear friends because he lacks power. And lost his mother-in-law too because of the same reason. To him, she is not just a mother in law but a good mother to him. He was scared that one day, his beloved wife will be gone too. Actually I pity him, battled for 5 years to gain more power. But his stand in court is not enough to protect his mother-in-law. If you can only feel how deeply scared he is to lose his wife too.

pdhal dulu tingyun yg bilang klo mereka perlu power buat bertahan hidup, tp setelah dia mencintai zhaoling dia jd berubah hanya ingin zhaoling dan menjadi begitu naive, dan zhaoling sudah benar, krna dia sudah masuk kelingkaran itu dia gk bisa mundur dan diam begitu saja

tbh i stand with zhao ling. cmon guys in those world without power u will lose everything. and for zhaoling the only thing hr scared of is losing tingyun. so he try so hard tp build his power even if he have to change etc. cuz only that he could protect tingyun. i also understand tingyun only want zhaoling, but she is still so naive. theres is no fairy tale. to survive in those world, they had to change.

nih drama emang engap tapi tiap karakter tuh understandable kecuali jingxiu. plotnya bagus, penokohan setiap tokoh tuh kompleks bahkan seru buat diskusiin nih drama. ini first time aku ngikutin drama yang proper ga hanya dari cast sm sinematografi tp dari penokohan tuh deep banget. ga ada karakter yang bener² jahat kecuali bapak Yu yg jd dalang utama semua masalah karna dia tamak. well nih drama deserve buat dapet nominasi best cdrama taun ini sih, ga pernah expect collab dingdeng bakal semenggemparkan ini. sayang nih TRTS cuman up di 2 platform, coba dia up di netflix & iqiyi pasti bakal lebih booming sihh. klo ada yg mau diskusi silahkan aja ya reply komentar ku, thank you..
