@platingqueen: 6 easy ways to plate like a chef at home 👩🍳 1️⃣ The Swipe – one spoonful of purée and a quick swipe around the plate. I like to put the protein right at the widest part of the swipe. 2️⃣ The Dollop – simple and understated. Let it shine on its own and mirror the placement with your protein, creating symmetry on the plate. 3️⃣ The Push – grab an offset spatula and glide the purée across the plate with even pressure. Creates a nice base for a dish with lots of components. 4️⃣ The Reverse Pull – similar to the dollop, but pull down to create a longer shape. You can lay your protein across the line creating a cross section. 5️⃣ Mini Dots – grab a squeeze bottle and go to town! Just keep them to half the plate or less. I like this one for desserts. 6️⃣ Big Dots – same idea, but pay attention to the spacing between each one. ✨ Save this and try one on your next plate 🍽️ Plate: ‘Texas Night’ entree plate by @Marcello Andres Ceramics Offset Spatula: custom plating kit from @Nordic Chefs Follow me for more plating tips!
