My coworker just stood up for himself last week and was a great worker and was fired, I hope he’s okay and is able to find employment easily as he was able to here. My management is horrible and no one cares enough to get her fired

okay kinda long story time i work at in n out and it’s been hot asfk these past couple days and when it hits 90 we have to switch the associates out every hour after 95 handheld has to come inside due to heat. now this part is important if it’s 100 and the sun was going down TECHNICALLY the handheld can go out when the sun is going down because it cools down but if and when the manager chooses to send it out they have to ensure the associates are switched out and have lots of water. Well on this day the manager in charge wanted to get a good number for his shift and decided to send the handheld out in 100 degree weather when the sun was going down and he left a associate out there for over 2 hours when the associate repeatedly said he wasn’t feeling good and it was too hot. well after those two house the associate comes inside and goes into the walk in to cool down he was experiencing heatstroke and it was bad so bad he was shaking and throwing up. i proceeded to tell said manager it was his fault this happened and he got upset with me asking how was it his fault i told him he failed to follow protocol and endangered a life of a associate. the ambulance wasn’t called because the associate said he couldn’t afford it (he wouldn’t have paid for it but he didn’t know that) the manager didn’t want to call a ambulance because he would have had to call the big boss and obviously he didn’t want to get in trouble so instead the manager and another associate took the associate who was experiencing heatstroke home in his car so it wouldn’t stay overnight and the manager would follow in his car to pick up the other associate ,they came back and acted like nothing happened
