What about for poops on the turf? Just a hose nearby to wash it off? We're going to get a house with a yard soon and I want to enjoy the grass without a) stepping/sitting in poop/pee spots and b) the grass dying. This is a great idea though

^ I am having the same problem- my 4 year old boxer finally has a backyard and he refuses to use it (he’s always only gone on walks or at dog parks). I’ve resorted in having to leave him out for hours until he does but I can tell he’s doing it as a last resort. I bought “potty here spray” but he really only pee’d from smelling it. How do you encourage post apartment dogs to use the backyard/ make them feel comfortable to.¿

Do you think this is feasible to teach and older dog. Say 6? I'd love to not have to search for poops. I do give him oh balance chewables so he doesn't yellow the lawn.

My first heeler was like this. I trained her to go on command. Her command was "hurry up!" and she'd immediately do her business. She was such a smart dog.

How do we train them to poop in the yard? My 1 year old golden will not go in the yard, only on walks. I’ve never had a dog do this before

There’s a spray you can also use that tells them where to go. I used it for my Frenchie.

when we got our first pup, Chloe, there was snow on the ground. Then it started melting. My girl would look for the any pile of snow, no matter how small to potty on. ❤️😆 I miss her.

I done up my garden n made a designated toilet spot , was a bit more difficult for the older dog since shes been toileting where she likes for the past 2years but we got there in the end 😅👏
