On that, they know, myth, I can see that. It's like, definitionally what 'delusion' means, in my understanding. Remaining convinced of a non-factual state of reality without, regardless of, and sometimes in spite of, evidence to the contrary.

My mother has severe schizophrenia. We tried for years to get her help knowing it was going to end poorly, but no one would/could help her since she was convinced there was nothing wrong.
She shot someone a year ago (no deaths) and is now forced to take medication after being found not-competent to stand trial.
She still thinks what she did was justified despite no evidence.
