Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim is a renowned Saudi Qur’an reciter, Islamic scholar, and former Imam and Khateeb of Masjid al-Haram in Makkah. He was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 1966. He studied Islamic studies at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University and later completed advanced studies in Islamic jurisprudence at Umm al-Qura University in Makkah. In 1991, Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim was appointed as an Imam and Khateeb of Masjid al-Haram. He became widely known around the world for his powerful and distinctive Qur’an recitation, particularly through his Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan. Alongside his work as an Imam, he also served as a professor and scholar of Islamic jurisprudence at Umm al-Qura University.
