@outdoors__rachel: Magpie Mine is definitely one of the more unusual walks I’ve done in the Peak District. The abandoned lead mine dates back hundreds of years and the ruins are still incredibly well preserved. It’s one of those places that feels completely different from the usual viewpoints, waterfalls and woodland walks around the Peaks. And the route itself had a bit of everything too. At one point we ended up completely surrounded by some very “friendly” cows 😅, walking through a field of sunflowers, before passing a pub with possibly one of the best names I’ve seen on a walk… 😂 Definitely one to save if you fancy a Peak District walk that’s a little bit different. Full Guide coming later 😀 #MagpieMine #PeakDistrictWalks #PeakDistrict #WalkingUK #DerbyshireWalks
