@explaining.quran: The Qur’an repeatedly emphasizes doing good deeds (ʿamal ṣāliḥ) and connects them with faith, Allah’s forgiveness, Paradise, and a better life. Here are some powerful verses: “Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them is a reward that will never end.” - Qur’an 41:8 “Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while being a believer, We will surely give them a good life, and We will certainly reward them according to the best of what they used to do.” - Qur’an 16:97 “Indeed, Allah does not allow the reward of those who do good to be lost.” - Qur’an 18:30 “So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it.” - Qur’an 99:7 “And whatever good you put forward for yourselves - you will find it with Allah. It is better and greater in reward.” - Qur’an 73:20 One especially beautiful principle is: “Indeed, good deeds erase bad deeds.” - Qur’an 11:114 So Islam teaches that no sincere good deed is insignificant. Even something as small as an act of kindness, charity, helping someone, remembering Allah, or preventing harm can be recorded and rewarded by Allah.
