@tarang.chawla: Scroll past the skincare for the actual content. Prime Minister of Australia, this is on National Cabinet’s agenda on Wednesday. But for many Australians, this is on our agenda every single day. Tag a politician in the comments below so they see this before the meeting. #fyp #australia

Exactly. What upsets me on top of everything else is that none of this is new, not even close, it’s not even an escalation - it’s been rife, it’s been rampant and it is all too common. This needs to be addressed from so many angles and it needs to start now. Whatever the gov think they’re doing it isn’t enough. We might not see real improvements for many years but that shouldn’t deter them from starting now.

the cycle feels the same as watching the cycle of gun violence in the US. politicians give thoughts & prayers, but never actually do anything about how many people it affects on a daily basis. it's always a tragedy, but never enough to make changes to prevent further tragedy

it's been 11 years... wow, I knew Nikki, I worked with her and it is still heart breaking what happened to her. she was literally one of the sweetest people i have ever met. I have been following you for so long. ever since you would post on facebook and I love hearing you speak and what you stand for. 7 years ago I survived a DV incident, and eventhough my abuser plead guilty he was not convicted of a crime!! I dont understand how that works. there was CTV footage of him smacking me across the face with a hair spray tin, causing me to lose my front teeth and have a few more injuries. he also did other acts of violence to me that night, but those were not caught on CTV. the Australian government has to do more to protect women and children!

I have a similar feelings around my brother as you with your sister. He died many years ago and he was the only sane person in the family. Every celebration, every happening with his kids and mine, I want to tell him what’s happening and share a laugh but he is gone. I know when you celebrate your dad’s birthday, your sister will be there in spirit and I am sure she is with you every time you make one of these videos and she would be bursting with pride. (She would probably tease you about it as well)

I live in SDA and being a female with a disability…I belong to the highest group of abused people in the world! Today I had to buy a video camera doorbell because the providers can’t provide me with security!

Let’s hope something really happens we are all sick of this. Being a woman that has worked in Family Violence and a lived experience of both sexual assault and domestic violence.

every time there’s enough “reported incidents” in the news it’s the same… public outrage + demand for change, thoughts and prayers from a few politicians with the links in their post captions to helplines / support services they cut funding for 🙆🏻‍♀️ooh don’t forget NOT calling for a royal commission because they couldn’t care less 🧍🏻‍♀️everything’s backwards.. the way the media reports incidents… the victim blaming… etc etc etc… gosh its impossible to not feel vulnerable trying to exist as a woman in 2026. the government is letting so many women’s and girls down by being so passive ❤️‍🩹

Even in the last two years since the last cabinet meeting, activists like you, women coming forward and awareness being spread have made and continue to make a bigger and bigger impact on society so fingers crossed this Prime Minister goes in batting for us and making substantial change 👏 Will you be covering the meeting minutes on your page?
