@crxsz.j: Everyone knows Lisa Manoban as the brainy and excellent one From elementary school to senior high school, her name never left the honors list. Every recognition day and every academic competition—there she was, standing on stage with another medal around her neck. "Highest Honors." "With Distinction." "Top of the Batch." It became so normal that people stopped being surprised. "Of course it's Lisa." "Who else?" Teachers admired her. Classmates respected her. Parents used her as an example for their own children. Years passed. College wasn't any different. She sacrificed sleep, weekends, and countless nights just to perfect every requirement. While everyone else celebrated after exams, Lisa was already preparing for the next one. The results were worth it. Magna Cum Laude. The title she had dreamed of since she was a little girl. On graduation day, the auditorium erupted into applause as her name echoed through the speakers. "Lisa Manoban... graduating Magna Cum Laude." She walked across the stage with the same composed smile she always wore. Her parents cried. Her professors stood to applaud. Her friends screamed her name. To everyone watching... Lisa had everything. Everything except the one thing she had wanted the most. From the audience, Lisa's eyes wandered until they found someone. Jennie. She was smiling. Clapping. Proud. Just like everyone else. Lisa smiled back, but only she knew how much it hurt. Because no matter how many awards she collected... No matter how many dreams she achieved... There was one dream that remained impossible. Jennie. Lisa had loved her for years. Quietly. Faithfully. Hopelessly. No one ever knew Not even Jennie herself. Or maybe... Jennie did know. She simply couldn't return those feelings. Because Jennie's heart already belonged to someone else. Taehyung. The way Jennie looked at him was the same way Lisa had always looked at Jennie—with admiration, comfort, and love. Lisa never blamed her. Love wasn't a scholarship you could earn. It wasn't a trophy handed to the person who worked the hardest. It wasn't an exam where effort guaranteed a passing grade. Love simply chose where it wanted to belong. And it never chose Lisa. After the ceremony, everyone surrounded Lisa for pictures. "You did it!" "We're so proud of you!" "You deserve this." She thanked every single one of them. Then she quietly slipped away. Outside the venue, she found a peaceful corner beneath a tree. She held her diploma against her chest. "So..." She let out a small laugh. "I really did achieve almost everything." A voice interrupted her. "You disappeared." Lisa looked up. Jennie. She walked over, carrying a small bouquet of white lilies. "I've been looking for you." Jennie handed her the flowers. "Congratulations." Lisa accepted them with a grateful smile. "Thank you." "You've always been amazing, you know that?" Lisa chuckled. "I guess." "No," Jennie said softly. "You worked harder than anyone I know." Silence settled between them. Jennie smiled warmly. "I hope you find someone who loves you as much as you deserve." For a brief second... Lisa wanted to tell her everything. That the person she had been waiting for... Standing beside her... Was Jennie. That every achievement she ever celebrated felt incomplete because the only person she wanted to celebrate with had never been hers. But instead... She only smiled. "I hope so too." Jennie hugged her before walking away. And just like that... The distance between them remained. Lisa watched Jennie run toward Taehyung. He naturally reached for Jennie's hand. She naturally held his. As if they had always belonged together. Lisa looked down at the gold tassel hanging from her graduation cap. She laughed quietly through the tears threatening to fall. "Funny." "I could solve impossible equations." "I could survive sleepless nights." "I became a Magna Cum Laude." "But the one thing I could never achieve..." She looked one last time at Jennie, whose smile was brighter than ever beside the person she loved. #jenlisa #au #fyp

"...was being loved by you." Sometimes life gives you medals. Sometimes it gives you dreams. And sometimes... It teaches you that no amount of excellence can make someone choose you. Because some victories are earned. But love.... ???
