idk how big families are in Europe but we are usually familys of 3-5 on average so we will usually bulk buy

Thing most visitors don’t realize is the portions are big becuase none of this stuff is ment to be consumed in a siting and meant to be consumed over server days and weeks

Do Europeans eat apples often? I feel like they’re a pretty big part of American culture. As kids we drink apple juice, there’s apple sauce, apple butter, apple pie, apple cider, apple crisp, McDonalds has apple slices, sometimes there dehydrated apple slices. Apple picking is also a big thing that families do here, at least in my part of the country. I’m curious if other fruits are more popular in Europe, or if apples are just as big there

Bags and containers are so big because typically Americans only go grocery shopping once a week or once every two weeks!

Reminder that most people in the US are either only going to the store once a week, sometimes two weeks, or they're buying for family. That's why everything is so large. No single person is expected to be buying all these things for themselves to consume all at once. These are multiple servings per container to last you the next week or two until you go shopping again
