I can confirm from chase when I called to price match my hotel that I found on Expedia they would not price match it or honor it so I tell them ok and booked my trip on Expedia instead

No, because so many of their matches are a "one time exception" that don't actually qualify under the rules, which means that it's not something you can rely on.

Bad example. It has to be the same exact room type and terms (refund days, checkin times etc) - so they would literally never ever price match a “the edit” room.
